<image:title>About Us - In 2008, Fran, who had always had an interest in literature, took a course in memoir writing and discovered a new passion. This class led to the formation of a group which encouraged her to write many short stories and a novel. In 2009, she closed her gallery to free up time to paint and write. Fran also resides in the historic district of Savannah - she has two children and two grandchildren. She and Maureen are neighbors and have commandeered Fran’s art studio to work on their books. They brainstorm new ideas, banter back and forth, and inspire one another..</image:title>

      <image:title>About Us - The Dynamo Duo</image:title>
<image:caption>Maureen Pacifici Smith was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia — the fifth of eight children. Fran Thomas was born in Macon, Georgia and often visited both sets of grandparents who lived on an island outside of Savannah. The authors felt that their shared experiences growing up in the South in the sixties, their strict Catholic education and comfortable upbringing as Doctors’ daughters, begged to be recorded in this fast-changing world.</image:caption>

<image:title>About Us - Maureen’s enthusiasm for writing began as a young girl. She wrote many short stories and essays in elementary school; her essay My Family won a Georgia Youth Writing contest. With the support and guidance of a high school teacher Maureen continued to write. However, later, her love of art moved her in another creative path — for the last thirty-five years she has channeled her design ability as a commercial interior designer and space planner. She continues her profession as a freelancer and now balances her career with her writing. Maureen lives in the historic district of Savannah, Georgia with her husband, David. They have a blended family with seven children and ten grandchildren.</image:title>

<image:caption>While vacationing together in the summer of 2017, a nostalgic conversation between two friends sparked the idea for a book. Later at a cocktail party, the two sat in a corner and outlined the story. Together they have crafted a compelling coming-of-age novel which would appeal to literary and women’s fiction readers alike. This led to an ongoing three-year collaboration which has resulted in a trilogy.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Mary Margaret Puccini and Theresa McDermott meet at Camp Villa Veronica, a Catholic camp where they spend months of the summer pulling pranks, sneaking out for smokes, and getting in daring contests with boys. It would be idyllic, but even the nuns can’t keep the real world totally at bay. A near-death experience, the loss of friends, and predatory priests ensure the girls’ bond is built as much out of joy as it is strife.</image:caption>

<image:title>Book One - Dictating their own fate in a world that wants to pick it for them feels unrealistic as a tragic accident, an unwanted pregnancy, and a shotgun wedding interrupt plans for travel and college. Privilege does not protect them from misfortune. Can these friends, now on such different life tracks, find a way to salvage their friendship and their future?</image:title>

<image:title>Book One - A story of resilience, joy, and growth, Full of Grace and Mischief explores how two girls face strict Catholic mores and old social norms as they pursue their dreams. Both a love letter and a critique of a bygone age, this half-memoir, half-fictional tale of growing up a female in the Deep South celebrates the strength of its characters and the powerful bonds of friendship.</image:title>
